Miyonna — known as Mimi B. — has carried music in her spirit since she was five years old. Her first stage was the church pews, where she learned how to pour emotion into every note. By 13, she was already recording in a home studio, writing her own lyrics, and shaping the voice she would later become known for.
Though several labels showed interest in her early on, Mimi B. stayed independent, trusting her own timing and her own lane. After attending Shaw University, she came back home and continued performing — from heartfelt gospel sets at funerals and church programs to soulful covers that reminded people why they love music in the first place.
Her sound lives at the intersection of soul and sincerity — shaped by church pews, heartbreak stages, and everything in between. Mimi B. doesn’t perform emotion. She delivers it.
